The Amelia Earhart Playhouse holds auditions for its upcoming production of "Little Women, the Musical" on Dec. 7 and 8 from 7-9 p.m. The musical is based on the Louisa May Alcott classic book which follows the adventures of sisters Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy.
The musical calls for a cast of 10 including:
Women --
- Jo
- Amy, the youngest sister
- Meg, the oldest sister
- Beth, the second-youngest sister
- Marmee, the girls' mother
- Aunt March, the girls' rich aunt
Men --
- Professor Bhaer, a German professor
- Mr. Laurence, a neighbor
- Laurie Laurence, Mr. Laurence's son who marries Amy
- John Brooke, Laurie's tutor, who later marries Meg
Additional crew, designers and technicians are also needed.
Performances are scheduled to be held in February and March 2022.
