Hiking the Vineyards
Learn about the craft of wine-making while sampling the results

Tour a winery estate and enjoy a relaxing day out in the country. This self-drive event includes the following:
- Upon arrival you will be welcomed with a complimentary welcome Champagne (Secco).
- Tour through the wine cellars and learn about wine production.
- Take an approximately six-kilometer hike through the rolling hills of the Rheinhessen Tuscany with stops along the way to enjoy snacks and a wine tasting (from the local vineyard). Grape juice and water will be available for children and designated drivers.
- After the hike, enjoy a barbecue at the wine estate.
Make sure to have a designated driver -- or consider staying overnight at the nearby winery-owned hotel. A shuttle service will be available to transport participants to the hotel. The hotel stay is optional and must be booked directly at the hotel (information and prices provided by Outdoor Recreation).
Cost
$125 per adult; accompanying children up to age 16 are free. Inquire about the family rate.
