Outdoor Recreation's U.S. Forces Sport Shooting Knowledge Course offers local community members an opportunity to hone their marksmanship skills and learn the details they'll need to own firearms for sports shooting purposes.
Classroom instruction is held on Thursday and Friday from 6–10 pm. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Successful course completion earns a Certificate of Completion. The final exam is a mandatory requirement and will be held on Feb. 27.
After that you must complete 18 times shooting firearms, fill out a Certificate of Need and obtain Shooting Insurance. Once approved you'll be allowed to own firearms for sports shooting purposes.
Participants will be required to use eye and hearing protection during the course.
Cost
Cost of $90 per person includes the registration fee and one year membership in Wiebaden's Hunting, Fishing and Sports Shooting Program. Ammunition, transportation costs and range fees are not included.
Registration Information
Register at Wiesbaden Outdoor Recreation. You must be a U.S. citizen and hold a valid ID card.
